team between 1968 and 1971 is a glass van fitted out as a workshop van for the transport of tools, but also for carrying out maintenance operations and minor improvements on racing cars. It is equipped with internal vertical partitions that separate the spaces and in particular the cabin from the rest of the vehicle, a workbench with a vice and shelves. A work light has been added to illuminate the interior and/or exterior of the van for night racing and night work. It travelled all the circuits of the Tour Auto and accompanied the convoys of car carriers. A gallery completes the special equipment for transporting the tyres and other boxes for transporting the tools. The front roof does not have the two transverse ribs visible on all other J7 vans marketed. We can assume that it was taken over or repaired. The 3-part rear bumper with the trailer hitch is specific to the model used by Matra Sports. The covers of the 4 sheet rims are painted with the colour of the body shell. They are different at the front and at the rear. The D on the roof indicates that it is a “tow truck” as required by French regulations at the time.
